Apples and Pears

Not quite the last day in Valencia that I’d envisioned. I thought maybe we’d have a last beach day or a visit to one of the local towns. Unfortunately we woke up to a severe weather warning of heavy winds and storms (we’re Amber but it’s Red further south). Just to make matters worst, I also had a dodgy tum. We managed to make it to the Rufaza market and the shops to buy things to take home and then Mr P and I had a last lunch out with Danny and Sinéad. Unfortunately I couldn’t eat very much (not like me at all!)
We hunkered down at home for the rest of the afternoon and evening. The lightening was flashing in the sky and it was blowing a hooley. One of the lovely jacaranda trees outside the flat has keeled over.
At one point we all got an alert on our phones telling us not to go out unless it was an emergency!
We’re packed up now and ready to go to Zaragoza in the morning. Hopefully the weather will have calmed down by then.
