Cardinal Hiding In A Bush
Our plans for the day were totally changed soon after we got up. My sister who lives in the northern part of the county, spent the night with our mother after their card party. She decided to take our mother to lunch and to her doctor appointment. We are waiting to hear how it went. That gave me more time to get ready for tomorrow. I fed the birds and filled their bird baths. We had so many feathered visitors today. I think we have three or four pair of cardinals stopping by daily. The brown thrasher was here too. Haven’t seen that bird for months. We had chickadees, titmice, various finch and sparrows, doves, jays, wrens, mocking birds and blue birds on our property today. What a pleasure they are. The squirrels are not; they tried to eat every peanut I put out. Back inside, I dusted all the furniture throughout the house. I watered the house plants and the few planters that are still outside. Hubby continued to troubleshoot the trickle battery charger that decided to malfunction this week. He’s worked with their customer rep for hours. I think they finally agreed to just return the purchase price. Our mechanic decided our rotors were fine. They changed the rear brake pads and cleaned/replaced the brake fluid. And their price was so much more reasonable than the dealer. Great lesson learned. We checked our travel lists and worked through the easy items. Almost everything we’ll need for the week has been put in the SUV. Hubby wants to be on the road early; we are driving all the way to Kingsport, TN which is approx 400 miles. Wishing you fewer hours on the road tomorrow. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “Really I began the day Not with a man's wish: ‘May this day be different,’ But with the birds' wish: ‘May this day Be the same day, the day of my life. ‘“
