Chemical Cocktails
I have actually heard of folks my age who do not take ANY medications. What's with that? Did they never go to a doctor? Do they not have ANYthing wrong with them? That hardly seems fair..
I cannot remember a time when I did not have to take prescription meds for something or other. Back then, I assumed that everyone did; like surely everyone must have some form of arthritis, or digestive issues or disc problems? Well, no, it seems they do not. How anyone escaped the joys of arthritis I will never know...but if there was a trick to that, I missed out on it. Drat!
I often worried that I was taking too many drugs back then, but I had no idea what would await me after an accident and a hospital stay! New drugs..changes to old drugs...drugs at breakfast, drugs mid afternoon and drugs before bed..Geez..
My current roster of medications, prescriptive as well as over-the-counter drugs, boggles my mind and is complicated enough that my pharmacist has suggested that I get them blister-packed! There was a time when the term "blister pack" was foreign to me...but now that I am old and more informed, I understand the concept...it has something to do with memory?
So, today, after taking my blood pressure, I gathered up all my meds to take to the pharmacy, but then got carried away with other things like taking photos of them, and forgot to go.
OOPS...
