Winter stash
Well it’s winter again - after such a summery day yesterday, today it was cold with a low cloud over the hills. Perfect for indoor jobs.
I made a zabaglione cherry trifle using panettone to freeze for our visitors coming next week.
After the hilarity of the results of the Tory leadership contest, I tried to get on with my knitting. I had hoped to get the left front finished today but it nearly finished me. Hopefully it’ll go better tomorrow.
I’m immersed in Minnie Driver’s life. I won’t take long to read it because I’m hooked. “Managing Expectations” is not a typical memoir. She’s a good writer who had a very unusual childhood. It’s witty, self-deprecating, moving and never boring. A jewel of a book said Stephen Fry.
