Thankfully, no snow
to be found at the south rim
but sun and blue sky

We left Page, Arizona after breakfast heading south to the Grand Canyon. The weather did not seem all that promising but we were pleasantly surprised to find it dry with some blue sky and sunshine.
Traffic was light.
We popped into several lookouts on the south rim. My favourite is always the Desert Watchtower. We found some lunch there and were happy to get a good cup of tea as the temperature was a mere 4 C at noon.
I don't have words to describe the magnitude of the Grand Canyon. It is an immense and incredible landscape with such an interesting history. It continues to attract people from all over the world. Approximately 5 million people visit the Grand Canyon each year. As I stand at a lookout I can hear several languages from the other tourists.
We left the Grand Canyon for Flagstaff, Arizona to spend the night before heading further south tomorrow,
