Actual rain

The weather has been my friend today.

I gardened from 9.30am until 8pm. Only stopping to make a sandwich and a pot of tea.

At 7pm a brief period of light rain gave me an early warning sign that it was time to clear up and go inside. By the time I'd got in the shower it was absolutely chucking it down.

It's the first time we've had proper rain for weeks, and it's weird to be saying it's welcome.

Does the garden look any better after all that attention?
Only to me.
