Lest we forget

I popped up to mid-week Communion at church this morning and was delighted to see this new banner which has just been made by our Banner Group in time for the Remembrance Day service next Sunday. It’s so beautiful, with a slightly 3D effect, and is embellished with bugle beads and sequins. I’ve put a close up shot in extras.

My copy of my daughter-in-law’s book arrived in the post today, and it felt great to hold the actual book in my hands instead of looking at it on my computer. 

This afternoon while I was busy printing Christmas cards we had a visit from our other daughter-in-law, who asked if I could give her some help producing a superhero costume for our youngest granddaughter, who needs it for school this Friday. Granny has been tasked with sewing lots of badges on to one of little H’s sweatshirts and a pair of trousers, and also a small red nylon cape (which was hastily purchased for the occasion). Granny also printed off H’s name and foiled it in gold, then cut it out and that will be attached to the cape with a velcro strip. Sorted.
