So grey in London today
My friend A and I walked to, and then round the Woodberry Wetlands nature reserve, which is near Stoke Newington. Previously a reservoir, it attracts many birds - both resident and migrating. I took several photos - but they were all of grey water, grey sky, grey buildings and a few gulls. So instead I’m posting a some of the plants I saw in the hedge. Of course left and right are the same plant, travellers joy as my dad called it.If you have good eyesight you might see a bumblebee ( of which there were several) in the mahonia. The other plant flowering prolifically was ivy, and it smelled lovely. Back home on the train late afternoon. Perfectly on time:-)
