Our Day
Hubby went to my mother’s early to winterize the camper. I stayed home since my cough and sinus congestion were worse. My kids and sister harassed me to go to urgent care. There have been numerous cases of pneumonia reported from this respiratory issue. My appointment was for 12:30. Hubby decided to join me. This is our first joint doctor appointment. We tested negative for COVID, RSV, flu and strep. Good news. But we have sinusitis and possibly atypical pneumonia. The doc had treated three pneumonia cases already today. She decided not to x-Ray us since she prescribed an antibiotic that treats both diagnoses. The doc also ordered a prescription strength nasal spray, Albuterol, and cough suppressant. While we waited for the scripts to be filled, we stopped at our rescue squad building and purchased two ham and cabbage fundraising dinners. Hubby and I decided it wasn’t fair to take our contagious germs to church. Most of the folks who attend Saturday evening Mass are even older than us. We are settled on the recliners, him with a glass of wine, me with hot tea. Life is good. Wishing you a soothing beverage to end your day. Stay safe.
