Neighbor’s Roses in November
We took the entire day off. I ordered a few Christmas gifts, finished my inventory of gifts already purchased and separated them by receiver. Jamie brought over leftovers so there will be no cooking today. Kim suggested we stay home out of the weather rather than go to Brooklyn’s soccer game. The antibiotics we’re taking make your skin susceptible to getting burned so you are cautioned about being outside for very long. The game ended in a 0-0 tie and for a change, Brooklyn was not bruised and bleeding after the game. She refuses to wear slide shorts and scrapes her thigh during most games. I decided to take a stroll to the neighbor’s pool area and use her roses for my blip. It is a shame the sky was so gray. It was bright blue yesterday. Knockout roses grow much better in this area than the traditional hybrid tea variety. They seem to be more disease resistant. It is amazing that they are still blooming this late in the year. My sister sent a tentative menu for our upcoming trip. I will get it in spreadsheet form so we can make any necessary modifications. There will be six of us the first week and then only four in weeks two and three. This evening, we will read and hubby will work on some of his puzzle books. I think we are both on the mend. Wishing you a laid back Sunday. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “I don’t know whether nice people tend to grow roses or growing roses makes people nice.” – Roland A. Browne
