Bike

Paddy McGuinness is riding a (modified) Raleigh Chopper from Wrexham to Glasgow this week, to raise money for Children in Need. Today’s leg was from Preston to Kendal and we went down to cheer him in to the finish.
Got to admit, he looked remarkably fresh considering he’d covered 68 miles today and he spent a fair bit of time in Market Place chatting to people and speaking to Jo Whiley live on Radio 2. More by good luck than good management, I happened to be standing right where he exited the cordoned off area on his way to the support vehicle, and was rewarded with a high five as he went past.
When he spoke to Jo Whiley, he was complaining about some of the hills he’d had to go up today on the way to Kendal. I have a feeling he’ll look back on them with some fondness tomorrow as he toils his way up and over Shap in the morning…
