From dawn 'til dusk
Didn’t sleep very well last night. I needed to be up early-ish to take a friend to a hospital appointment, but I was worried about sleeping through my alarm (which I have never done).
Stands to reason then that I was wide awake at 5.40….
Being up early did mean that I finally got to savour a proper Winter’s morning (there was frost on the car) and enjoy the glorious sunrise (extra) before heading off on the short journey.
Shortly after that it was off to the office for a manic few hours and an interesting (genuinely) discussion about pensions. I was delighted to find that the pension providers app thought I had the face of a 41-year old, my younger colleague was devastated to have come in at 53.
A busy afternoon followed before I returned home to a house of noise - next door are having their chimney stacks sorted, which involves lots of banging, yelling and loud music on the part of the builders. I can’t complain though as I put them through months of hell when my place was knocked around to create an additional bedroom a couple of years back.
When 5pm came I was in need of a wander, so took a stroll around town and snapped this one of the clouds against a dusky sky. I’m grateful for the cleverness of our phone cameras, as I would have no idea how to adjust the settings to take all this in. Also captured a nice one of the funeral parlour under the moon reflected in the river.
Finished up the day with pie, mash n beans and watching the conclusion of the trashily brilliant; Rivals.
