Connaught Water

Finally today we had some blue sky and so took a walk around Connaught Water,  It was beginning to cloud over as we ended our walk  but I still managed quite a few shots.

Connaught Water isn't best for Autumn colour in the forest but it is certainly popular with the waterfowl: today we saw terns (seagulls?) for the first time in many months  and thy were desperate to get some of  our (officially approved) food!  Never before have I seen them in such numbers and brave enough to land on the railings hoping to get their turn!
