The beet goes on…
Woody always wants to walk across this field, which has a footpath, and nine times out of ten I make him go on to the woods, or the path up the hill. I think he’s attracted by the fact this field is planted with the (semi)edible - such as cattle food like this beet. I hate it because the exit by the cows is often liquid mud and because I have to watch him like a hawk. Today he was delighted I agreed to cross as we’ve had no rain. And these beet are still rock hard and in the ground. Mind you it’s like walking through an obstacle course and if you look up you trip over what feels like a decapitated head. But we made it and the sun shone all day.
I had a positive work day - moved quite a few things along as well.
V went off to teach for the afternoon and although I was fasting we managed to cook separately and eat together. Watched another ep of Jackal and then I watched the last of the Kinds of Kindness trilogy (weird) and read some of Say Nothing. I want to watch the show on Disney but think i need to read the book first.
