Our weather, too, has changed
It’s very blustery and, from time to time, it pours with rain crazily.
We had a yellow weather warning and RTP3 Madeira, our local tv channel, mentioned that it was now up to orange. The depression is hanging on.
I had my usual swim this morning, but there wasn’t the parade of visitors reserving the sun beds. The wind is noisy and the date palms are swishing and creaking. My blip is of the one that is immediately by my patio, between me and the pool.
Earlier this morning, before I met a friend for lunch, the birds were around. It wasn’t as windy. There was an Eurasian Blackcap in my tree, close to me but I didn’t have my camera or my phone on the table. I’ve been reading here for a while and heard a few birds (as did Merlin) but nothing has arrived close enough for a photo opportunity.
A good book, good company, a lovely lunch, and the prospect of watching the Portugal v Poland game this evening, with a glass of lovely Madeiran rose (Atlantis)…………
