Supermarket Steer Clear

Dear O'H dear, Lovely Tea Jenny and The Mini Princesses,

I was at the supermarket the other day and as I was about to head out, I noticed a friend walking in.

So I did what normal person would do - I did a little swerve and avoided her. She’s actually someone I really like but I was shopping, not socialising. When I mentioned this to Mary Doll, she was aghast.

“It’s not like I had arranged to meet her and then didn’t turn up. I mean THAT would be rude.”

Kitty Cat feels exactly the same way as me and we even discussed how we have perfected our ‘lost in my own world’ faces (with demonstrations). You can’t overdo it - whistling would be a giveaway but you also can’t stare straight ahead with steely determination.

This is why I normally do online shopping! So much less to think about!
