Transition.
Autumn is well underway now and although there is still nice colour around the leaves left on the trees are numbered.
Here you can see our (not so) little oak tree, along our back garden wall, with it’s last flourish of beautiful golden leaves, many of which are now on the ground.
In the foreground is one branch of the Holly. Lots of lovely berries ready to greet the coming season of Christmas. No doubt some will adorn the house in about a month's time.
I went out to take these shots on our return from Keighley when the sun had unexpectedly put in an appearance after a damp start to the day. Chris normally goes off to Sainsbury’s on his own on Saturday but he wanted me to go with him as he was also going to choose new glasses after his eye appointment yesterday at the opticians. Second opinion needed and also a chance to get a few items he tends to forget that we don’t get in M&S.
A chilled Saturday now. Chris is going to bring some of his fuchsias and one or two other plants that have been out all summer into the green house as we are told to expect very cold temperatures next week!
