Thanksgiving Came Early
Decided to publish my blip early today. Jamie’s surgery only lasted 1.5 hours plus time in recovery. The doc decided after he had a closer view, that the bladder looked fine, no need for the planned biopsy. He found no obstruction in any tubes and was able to completely drain all infection causing the large cyst. He will have to stay an extra day to ensure the infection is definitely gone and all systems return to normal operation. Hallelujah! He finally got his first food, since Thursday am, at midnight. Those who have experienced a cancer diagnosis or even the discussion about it with a physician, can understand my anxiety especially when the first hospital decided he needed to be flown to WHC for surgery. Plus, Jamie’s father’s family has lost several members at an early age due to various cancers. What a relief. Thanks so much for your concern. It means a lot. We were exhausted, getting home so late. While making breakfast, I noticed at least two pair of cardinals at the feeders. This big boy came to the window sill for his breakfast. Today, we are taking a break until time for 5:00 Mass. It is our annual Knights’ Memorial Mass where all deceased members’ names are read. Hubby will be the honor guard. Two of our long time members/friends are leaving the area permanently. There will be a farewell reception for them after Mass. We will surely miss them. Wishing you joyful news this weekend. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “In everything, give thanks.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:18
