Trying mono

I have a love/hate relationship with mono. I'm never really satisfied with my mono images. But I've been watching Eileen Rafferty on YouTube, and went out in the late afternoon, when we had a few glimmers of sunshine, to attempt to put her advice into practice.
I'm still not entirely sure this works. I have put the colour version as the extra for comparison purposes.
There was a brilliant white cloud echoing the shape of the tree behind the hedge, which is what attracted me to the scene.
