Left to Dry

Before we went to London.  Off to pottery to await bisque firing now.   The gentian stamp that Jamie made for me last year put to good use :-)

A morning at Mum's, last minute jobs, packing and spending some time with Mum.  She's still very tired but was a bit brighter at times today.  We were finally ready to leave at 4pm but it was hard to leave.  Mum's not thought to be in any immediate danger, she's just very frail.  We both had a tear as we left her.   We plan to be back in December for a longer Christmas break and other family members will be visiting for much of the intervening time ... but four weeks seems a long time :-/

The journey home to Wales was uneventful.  We stopped to inspect progress at Ruth's place.  Parts of the flat still look like a building site, the kitchen now plastered and awaiting tiling and the start of the installation of the new hardware.   It'll look very different next time we are there!

Nice to be home.   Stops en route meant it took just over seven hours to get here.   I have pottery ready for glazing which is a nice thing to look forward to and with Ruth here and Jamie at home at his place, we'll have some good family time this week :-)
