Creeping towards the C word

The university tree is up and the lights will be "switched on" tomorrow, hopefully not in a repeat of the events of two years ago. The event apparently "sold out" a long time ago, but given how many people work around Old College, it is hard to see how numbers can be completely controlled. We have been advised to leave via Chambers Street. Anyway, numbers may be controlled by the cold, as they were by rain last year.

There has been a dramatic change in temperature, by more than 10 degrees and it is now pretty cold. Meanwhile, work continues to be work and today was a pretty standard Monday with a lot of conversations, some of a fruitful character.
