Ladybird Sunrise
Greeted by mist on this fine morning, after a night of steady drizzle and plummeting temperatures, I elected to forgo breakfast (most unlike me) as the sun began to break through and light up the far shoreline. In truth, I knew this might be my best chance for a photo today with more rain due later and, besides, mist here is a rarity.
Using my ultra-wide lens, I emphasised the foreground rocks by getting low to the ground. In doing so, they occupied a large proportion of the frame, but at the expense of distorting the reeds and buildings (probably not visible on blip anyway).
By chance a ladybird gave me a spot of colour on the nearest rock.
Extra: Misty Sunrise.
