Lighting up time - Dunoon Pier
The darkness comes early these days.
I got the 4.30 ferry from Gourock having been in Glasgow, but by the time I got to Dunoon the spectacular sunset had faded away and night had fallen. My extra photo gives an impression but it is through a rather sea salt streaked window, unfortunately.
However this atmospheric picture of Dunoon pier on a very cold and still evening - or rather the bit already renovated, as there is a further part which is danger of falling in to the sea - was compensation for such an early loss of light.
