River of Flowers

Sunday: Shallots

Had a lie-in until 8 o’clock this morning, Sky was grey and overcast, 10°C is very mild.

After breakfast I decided to take the lids off my veggie seedlings in their protective boxes

But the heavy rain came thumping down again … lids back on!

Then I remembered that lots of soil had collected between the path and the small shed housing the central heating boiler, grass had started growing in it too - I used 2 garden trowels to remove the turf and threw it onto the grass, the birds will love digging in it!

MrD enjoys shallots in a sandwich, these are the pickling onions I bought a couple of months ago - I cut a couple and planted another pot full in the hope they’ll grow in the cold months ahead :-)

Lots of very heavy rain showers this afternoon, hopefully the storm will have blown over by tomorrow. We are very lucky compared to people in Pontypridd and near Wrexham who’ve had floods and landslides :-((

Watched “Salmon Fishing in the Yemen” one of my favourite films :-)

Loads of love and hugs to all my family / Cariad Mawr
