Mini Orchid

Reluctantly skipped my outdoor swim this morning as the journey to the pool is not ideal in high winds driving through tree lined narrow country lanes. After waking early I decided to catch up on some sleep instead.

Cracked on with two loads of laundry late morning and a few chores before popping out with my neighbour to the garden centre for a cuppa. I was tempted to purchase a mini pink poinsettia but they don’t keep their colour long so opted for a mini orchid for the bedroom instead.

Sorted out a few items to donate to the village food bank tomorrow. Mostly toiletries such as shower gels and feminine products as there’s a shortage of donations of that type. Amazing what one can find in the cupboard. Also found some unwanted gifts from last Christmas for the village Tombola. Lots of bath bombs!

Wind is howling around the house again this evening. Storm Bert showing no sign of relenting. Now for Ep 3 of Mirror and the Light and a glass of red wine.
