Junior parkrun and coffee

A very windy, (tail end of Bert) Junior parkrun went well, with the only issue being a van driving on the course. Fortunately the driver was polite and understanding, and explained that he needed to move through to head to the toilets and clean them. He agreed to be escorted by me, so that was fine. 

It was too windy for Al to venture out. C explained that his light-weight wheelchair would have blown over. So, G and I went for a coffee with C where we chatted about the cinema and Colchester zoo membership  - both things G wants to do when he retires. C knows everyone and pauses for a chat, including this lady walking her lovely blipped dog. 

Home for a relaxing day out of the wind - reading and catching up with Game of Thrones. We had a visit from Gab who needed to collect some parkrun bibs and the flag, ready for a parkrun promotion on Tuesday  - I agreed to volunteer as well.
