With A around to walk Django in the morning, the fact that I'd had a lie in and enjoyed vivid dreams after 07:30 didn't impact on my day's work. I had a very solid day, rounding off the last feature I'd developed, advising folk on-line, and then cracking on with addressing another issue. I'd guessed the reason for the poor performance of HiGHS on this instance, but it was satisfying to understand exactly why, even if debugging with respect to a second instance confused me for an hour or so.

In the evening, we ate a vegetable curry that A had prepared, after which I took Django for a long walk around Penicuik in the dark, collecting Turf zones I don't need to avoid relegation in the round that ends on Sunday, but it's hard to break the habit.

Good job they fence in the Penicuik Christmas tree, in case it makes a run for it!
