Nature In Art

Just got back from a very sociable blipmeet with the usual crew - steveng and Gill, Technophobe and LooseCanon, chrispybox and mrscb, hildasrose and Rob, and of course me and mrsfb. 

We met at the Nature in Art Museum and Art Gallery, Twigworth. The 2024 Bird Photographer of the Year prints were on display. We discovered what a lek is (not the basic monetary unit of Albania, equal to 100 qindarkas by the way, something else).

We had great weather so had a mooch around the gardens after lunch (we had our own table, reserved all day for morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea and cake). The gardens are like a mini sculpture park.

The main blip is an eagle sculpture which used to be located outside the old Eagle Star insurance company offices in Cheltenham. The Georgian mansion which houses the exhibitions is in the background.

On the drive there we drove past the A417 missing link development. Google maps asked me are there still roadworks. Well yes, they will be there until 2027.
