Diary of an Edinburgher

Big old rusty fire pit, anyone?

Another perfect winter’s day. Another couple of walks around our neighbourhood for Archie and I. But JR resumed her gym classes - she’s been really missing them.

Passed this rather splendid fire pit - a bit rusty but still good for a few more summers. The neighbour was just coming out as we stopped to admire it. They want a smaller one. She offered to help me round with it. But no - I’m done with having to have firewood.

In the afternoon Archie and I popped in to visit Dougal and his mum. What a hoot that was - Dougal was in a crazy mood, and started Archie off being silly. There was a lot of rough-housing, until Dougal said, ‘Enough!’ Dougal is definitely the boss

JR went get her nails off, in readiness for getting them on again for Christmas. The rigmarole! It’s all beyond me…

Elizabeth popped in later. It was her birthday yesterday, but she was busy all day. She was happy to sit through 100s of holiday photos on the big screen.

Trying to stay up past 7pm tonight. It was another ‘cuppa at 5am’ morning.

PS can’t resist another holiday collage. (Extra)
