A day in the life

Sea-eagle

I was working on my music during the morning hours when the sun came out and made it a beautiful autumn day. While I was dressing to go out I noticed the sun was hiding behind a blind of grey clouds from the west, so I decided to go to the east coast instead, where the sun was still visable.
The whole eas side of the island consists largely of farmland and watery sea-meadows. I parked a kilometre from the coastline and followed a dirt road when I saw a black speck crossing my trail, a Sea eagle -Hallaetus albicilla, our largest bird of pray. There are quite a few of them roaming the skies of Öland but it felt welcoming to see it.

The first extra shows what the ice does to jetties after a while. We don't have a lot of ice here but what there is, is powerful. Second extra shows one of the benefits of walking in Sweden, our all-mans-right, Allemansrätten, which gives us access to walk in most places as long as we use common sense and don't scare cows and horses, walk over planted fields or private, fenced gardens. You will often find these kinds of ladders, leading over electric fences of stone walls, to give access to the fields.
I had sun all the time, you can actually see the cloud edge over the eagle.
