Mr. And Mrs. Finch, Having a Tiff?

I slept in until 8:30. For breakfast, the men got egg, potato, ham, cheese, mushroom, green pepper and onion baked omelette muffins. Plus my cranberry pecan scones. They wiped them out. The birds were everywhere today. I liked this shot of a pair of house finches. Our BIL is making breakfast tomorrow and I will let him. My sister made a pumpkin roll and apple pie. I made a pumpkin pie. The ingredients for my caramel apple cake are on the counter waiting for me. Parker hinted that he’d love French toast before he goes home on Friday. They will be leaving early so I put together an apple and pecan overnight French Toast casserole. We will bake it in the morning and hopefully there will be enough for him on Friday also before he leaves. As you can imagine, we have been on our feet working in the kitchen since getting out of bed. Jamie had several conference calls. Parker and our BIL spent the day outside. Hubby read and worked puzzles by the fireplace. I put an exotic pot roast in the Dutch oven mid day. My sister will make the baked asparagus Parmesan and mashed potatoes. I’ll put together a dressing for the cold slaw and dinner will be ready. I am delighted Parker and Jamie came up for a visit. My sister and BIL are his Godparents. He has had some fun bonding time with them. Jamie is still not 100% so we have encouraged him to rest and rest some more. Hubby’s knee is really bothering him so he also needed some down time. Parker has taken his place with our BIL. Kim and family visited our mother today. They took her treats and chatted awhile. They cleaned her kitchen before her card party tonight. Kristen sent pictures from their Air B&B. They are also having fun. Life is good. Wishing you some fun times. Stay safe. Thanks for the visit. It takes forever to upload my journal. Trying to look at yours is almost impossible.
