Broken in transit

Felt really tired today and didn't want to get out of bed.  Woke up a few times and went back to sleep again.  Finally got up around 2pm and had something to eat. 

Around 3.30pm I got a bus to the village.  First stop was the Convenience Store to collect a parcel.  Then to Herons and Tesco - food shopping and 3 more parcels collected.  Walked home.  Weather was dry but bitterly cold and there was a strong wind ( we are getting this type of weather a lot lately )

After unpacking the food shopping I made a cup of coffee and settled down in my armchair with the fire on.  Set about opening my 4 parcels.  Three items were Christmas presents - one item was for me.

The one for me was a Moorland Pottery mug - and as you can see from my blip it was broken.  I was surprised as it was really well packed in a box with newspaper and bubble wrap.  When I took it out of the packaging it looked OK but when I put it down on the table the triangle of china just fell off.  Sent photos to the seller and got an immediate refund.  But its a shame that such a lovely mug is broken and I cant use it..  I think I will try and glue it and put it on display.
