New Kid In Town . . . Eagles

This morning I came out the door camera in hand and just caught sight of a Weka walking done the path.  Weka were seen fairly often when we came here but I haven't seen one for several years.  I followed it and managed a photo but I have had to crop.  It wasn't pausing to let me catch up. 
After that we went down to the sister in laws so the forester could set light to a heap of branches that were from when a tree split and fell over.  There was rain last night which meant the surrounding grass was damp and there wasn't wind today so conditions were good.
