Towards the Campsie Hills

The weather is unbelievably mild ,12C , though tomorrow we expect freezing temperatures again. This is another unexpected effect of global weather changes.
It’s rare get the light just right  looking towards the Campsie Hills but I did, more or less, late this afternoon while out walking.
Spot the Fairie Knowe on the far left.
This  is believed to be  an ancient Pictish burial ground, and a dig in 1868 confirmed this.
But the area is steeped in local folklore  and legends especially fairies and supernatural beings , common in Scottish mythology.
