Today's the day

Viburnum tinus

Today's the day ...................... to keep on giving

I wouldn't be without the above in my garden, which is flowering now - and will keep on doing so, right through the winter and spring until about June.

It's an evergreen shrub with lovely dark green glossy leaves and when the flowers are over, there are blue-black fruits with a metallic sheen to them.  It doesn't seem to need any sort of attention to keep it growing - just a bit of pruning back in early summer if required.

Oh - and it's hardy down to −10 °C, although we hope that it won't be put to that test any time soon .....................!
