Goldcrest
Today's the day ......................... for a dilemma
We've been pondering that question, which always arises at this time of year - namely - Are we going to send actual Christmas Cards in the post?
We've done it for so many years now and it really is part of our Christmas - but postal charges are so ridiculous and there are so many other ways of getting in touch nowadays. It's not something, I think, that most young people would do. It belongs to our generation's way of thinking.
And then, today, we had our first Christmas card in the post. A lovely one of a goldcrest (© 'Bird' Diane Williams) - from someone who lives quite far away now, but have known for more than 40 years. She and I met in the Simpson Maternity Hospital in Edinburgh, when we were both having our first child. That was a very special time and although we haven't seen her for a while, I would hate to lose touch.
So, this is the dilemma - the debate continues ..........................?!
