Pound

Yesterday, when Mum talked about who she would leave her jewellery to, she spoke of her charm bracelet and the story behind each charm. I said we should get that on video so whoever gets them knows more about them. So, this morning, we shot the video. We had to move the furniture around so the lighting was good enough to see their faces and each charm. We used both phones to do it, so I will have to work out how to edit them together.

One of the charms has a pound note in it. Looking at it, I assumed it was one of the notes withdrawn in 1988, but Mum said it dates back to pre-decimalisation (February 1971). Nobody is going to open it to check.

One of the others is a charm Dad bought Mum when I was born. Awww.
