The Sunny Side

We got up early enough for it still to be dark with just a line of light on the horizon. Not sure why we woke so early but we both did and there was no getting back to sleep.
Once the sun came up, just after 9 o'clock it was a bright but very chilly day.  
Robert finished the guttering and snow racks and replaced some of the dodgy roof nails with long roof screws. It looks much better and the chance of a leak is much reduced.  The smaller piece of guttering on the bathroom isn't quite finished but he'll return tomorrow for that.
We went to the cinema this evening and Rose and I watched Gladiator 2 while Jan saw Wicked. We agreed both films were fun but not great cinema.  I read somewhere that Ridley Scott had earned the right to have some fun with his films and I could imagine him throwing in one element after another just because he could. It wasn't rubbish but I wouldn't go as far as to recommend it either.
