Nativity in mosaic.
I was back at the Congregational church this morning for the Tittle Tattle Tea shop and a performance by the Primary school choir of Christmas songs. On display were the tableau pictures making up the Nativity story which the children were helping to make in groups all week.
The two shown here, Mary and Joseph travelling to Bethlehem with the donkey and The Three Kings or Wise Men, are the ones that my groups of children contributed to yesterday by making up pieces of the picture with coloured squares of paper in mosaic style to give the finish a stained glass window effect. My groups were from Class 4 and 5.
There were 7 panels all together one for each class; the Angel Gabriel; the Shepherds; the innkeeper, the star and Mary and the baby Jesus done by the reception class.
All very effective and a nice way to involve them all.
I’ve added the others to my Flickr album for ‘Glow’ - link here
Waiting for Storm Darragh and the family to come later tonight, I hope they get here before the Storm!
