Sunset at the V&A

It's a bit of a cliche taking a photo of the V&A at sunset when you're in Dundee, but after the passing of the storm, there were a few minutes where the sun was just hitting the clouds as it set and we were on our way to the V&A so it had to be.

We're in Dundee for a night for a visit and an explore. I reluctantly started my Christmas shopping and went to check the free bits at the V&A.  The Dundee tapestry was really interesting, with some incredible needlework by local sew-ers, telling the history of the city's industry and legacy and the modern day things that make the city unique.  There was also an exhibtion called 'a Fragile Correspondance' which was about relationships with three landscapes - Loch Ness, Ravenscraig and Orkney which was really interesting.  Highlights were all the Ravesncraig stuff which is local to us and an area where the old steelworks once existed and is being reclaimed by nature and maybe the community.  The Orkney bit also had this display where someone had created a cube and a sphere from the soil found at different bits of the islands.  There was a lot of variation and I'm still not sure how they got shiny marble-link spheres from the mud but they did.
