Everyday I Write The Book

The light before the darkness

We went for a short and rather chilly walk around Wisley. They were chucking everyone out at 3.30 in time to admit the paying crowds for the glow experience in the evening but the lights were on and it was so overcast you could enjoy a sense of what it might look like. We balked at paying £25 so we’re not attending this year, and so many people are doing it these days that it’s getting a little hackneyed. To be honest wandering around London after dark at Christmas time is cheaper, better and more varied as our trip to Kings Cross last Friday proves.

Home to tea and a mince pie, followed (much later) byTSM’s signature Nasi Goreng.

Meanwhile in Canada The Girl Racer went to the last of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour dates which means she has seen her in Nashville, London and Vancouver. What a Swiftie. Apparently her shows are definitely better after dark (Wembley was on a summer’s evening).

Off to Bath tomorrow … the best Christmas market in Britain, some say …Wisley, lights
