Two levels of beach!
This morning Ann went sea swimming. Are you impressed? Sea swimming in December.......... though she did wear a wetsuit. (See extras)
Actually, once she got into the water, it didn't really feel much different to when she was swimming in the summer. It's the getting out of the water and getting changed that she doesn't like much. In the summer she just throws her dry robe on and walks home in her crocs. Today she put on a fleece, trousers, socks & boots. It's all a bit of a faff for a 10 min walk home.
Oh and the other thing.................... I didn't get to go with her. How mean was that, especially as my little friend, Pip, was there. Ann swam in the harbour this morning because that was where the sea was calmest and she wasn't sure where she'd be getting changed and leaving her stuff. She said she'd suss it out and I could go with her the next time. Yay!!
My first thing in the morning walk, swimming in the sea, and a walk into town (with me) to buy stamps for her Christmas cards aren't they expensive? made Ann, tired so she had to spend most of the afternoon snoozing on the sofa and watching TV.
At 3.30pm I went for my afternoon walk along all of the beaches and just look what has happened on Porthminster Beach. Storm Darragh has pushed the sand up the beach so now there is a 6ft drop between the dry sand and the wet sand. I managed to scramble up for a photo shoot which is more than a little cockerpoo could do when his owner accidently threw his ball up there but there was no way Ann would have been able to make it onto dry sand. Just as well the tide was out.
…............And in other news.................... after Ann boasting that Storm Darragh hadn't done any damage to her house; today she noticed that two tiles on the roof have slipped down. AGAIN!!! This is the 4th time that the same two tiles have slipped down in the wind obv have just been pushed up but not secured, so a call to the Management Co. was made. Obviously they have been inundated with similar calls, but just saying, 'we'll add it to the portal and send someone out', isn't really good enough. Rain is forecast for the weekend and if that happens, the rain will come in through our attic and start dipping down onto our landing via our electric light. …............Another call will be made tomorrow to chase them up. And the next day and the next day and the next day, etc, etc, etc.
