Edinburgh Gin
The two hour journey North was straight forward.
We dumped our cases at the hotel before going to
Gordon Street Coffee. An excellent place for a post train journey break. Their coffee was beautifully smooth.
We had a little explore along The Royal Mile before experiencing lunch at The Witchery. A 16th century building originally named Boswell’s Court. It had a fabulous atmosphere, the decor was rich dark oak with heavy tapestry drapes, brass candle sticks and huge mirrors. It was so dark but warm and cosy inside. Lunch was 2 courses. Small tasty portions, perfect for me. Wine with lunch followed by a post meal Baileys.
After a few hours rest we wandered into the Christmas market before heading to our booking at Mowglis. It didn’t disappoint. Lots of sparkly lights inside. The food…….there was so much to choose from and we didn’t hold back. We walked back to the hotel via The Dome, it looked beautiful with the light display.
Edinburgh Gin is next to our hotel!
