One missing

It has been dull and wet today, so I decided to get on with domestic jobs. I made bread first and then some flapjacks for our end of year painting class next Monday. You can probably guess why one is missing! I could not find the recipe I usually use so took one off the Internet. The flapjacks turned out a little crunchy. In my book, flatjacks should be nice and gooey. Nevertheless, they taste nice. It has been a difficult day as one of my very good friends will have her life support machine turned off today after she did not recover from an emergency ruptured aorta operation. I have been in regular communication with David , her husband. We will go to stay with him as planned and offer our support in January just before the funeral.
