Rough With The Smoth

It had begun to snow when I went out today. Gusty winds blew the snow across the slick ice in long smokey, snaking trails. I tried to capture them without luck.

The ice pancakes of recent days had all been flattened and now, filled in with snow, made for an interesting pattern in the foreground.

Further out, a crack, that opened in the preceding warmer days, refroze, making a wavy line trailing off into the distance.
