Christmas Music at Its Finest
We had a much more settled day. Our BIL made the crew a hearty omelette breakfast. I fixed a sausage sandwich. We still had a few tasks. My sister and hubby finished vacuuming, I dusted the top level. We cleaned bathrooms and the kitchen. We still had half of last night’s dinner so lunch was easy. While my sister mopped floors, our BIL helped bring all our wrapped gifts and luggage down. The van will be full for the trip home. I moved the remaining freeze susceptible containers to the basement. We spoke with our mother. She is settled in at our sister’s home but already getting antsy because she has nothing to do. We suggested she help with meals and dishes. Everyone needs a purpose. Everyone had some free time after showers and linens were done. Felt good to sit. We are on our way to dinner and a Christmas concert. I am writing my journal early so I’ll be ready to publish my blip after getting a photo in the theater. It feels good to know the house is all cleaned and all that’s left is pack coolers and vehicles. Our BIL will winterize the water lines while we move stuff to the van and truck. We will not be back until February at the earliest. Wishing you time to enjoy the Christmas season. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. Hoping to catch up with all your journals on the way home between naps. lol. “I truly believe that if we keep telling the Christmas story, singing the Christmas songs, and living the Christmas spirit, we can bring joy and happiness and peace to this world.” - bireestatus.blogspot.com
