A Favourite Place

Initially I was disconcerted that there were only 5 of us on the “Carols for Everyone” course at Higham Hall. No hiding place for the vocally challenged, me. However I should have known that the wonderful tutor, Deborah Catterall, would work her magic. By 9pm we were singing a Basque carol in two part harmony.

This is one of the most restorative places I know and I’m looking forward to a couple of days singing, great company and eating delicious comfort food. It’s shepherds pie and rice pudding for lunch tomorrow.
