Snow Showers

I've had a busy day, but before things got going, I managed to spend some time outside in my hide enjoying a gentle snow fall.  As is always the case when it snows, the feeders were mobbed with birds, including a good number of these dapper white-throated sparrows.  

I headed out around 11 to drive up to a friend's house about 30 minutes north of here where 5 of us gathered for a holiday lunch.  We get together when schedules allow for walks around the area; all of them are great birders so I always learn from them.  We enjoyed a feast of delicious food and baked goodies and wonderful company.  Back home by 4 and now getting ready to jump on a zoom call for virtual cocktails with my besties.  

I cannot promise that you won't see a few more holiday pet pictures in the next few days.  Consider that your fair warning!  I've got a few ideas for Charlie and really want to have another go with Jax and the wrapping paper.
