Deja Vu

I wanted to do an early shop in preparation for Christmas but when I tried to start the car, nothing happened. This happened about this time last year and despite the garage looking into it, we never got to the bottom of the issue causing a drain on the battery.  

I used L’s car to get to the supermarket and then returned to try and deal with the flat battery. It was doubly frustrating when the morning sky coloured up. The battery has been on charge most of the day and we did go out in the car last night to meet up with friends at a local pub.

Loosing confidence in your car is never good. Last year’s problem hasn’t repeated itself during the year, but while the car wasn’t used for 5-6 days on this occasion, it shouldn’t have been long enough to result in the battery going flat. I can contact the garage, but when we discussed it last year, finding what in the car is causing the drain can take a long time. They had the car over Christmas and New Year last time but didn’t get to the bottom of the problem.
