Two
2 days behind with my blipfoto entries.
I woke up with a sharp pain in a ring running around my rib cage. I couldn't turn over in bed, cough, or even sit on the loo. I took ibuprofen, paracetamol, and then waited. After half an hour or so I was able to get up and do some gentle stretches and twists. It soon became clear that the pain was emanating from the muscles in my upper back.
The discomfort eased throughout the day and I managed to do just about everything I wanted to except bending and lifting - if I did that I felt as if I was being ripped apart.
Richard worked all day and mum came over in the afternoon. Tess and her cousins spent most of the day jumping and playing with water. I would say having water fights but there was more imagination in it than that and there didn't really seem to be any competition of any kind. My younger niece, Eve, mostly just watered the plants and babbled endlessly.
